The rest are un-achievable, and some that they have planned are outright ridiculous.The developers posted in December that they would be fixing this in "the coming weeks" on the discussion page, and have been radio-silent ever since.I will update and possibly change my recommendation when this update eventually rolls out.. One of the most unique puzzle games I've had the pleasure of playing. I would recommend this game overall to those who enjoy games such as 'The Turing Test' or 'Portal 2,' as it combines an interesting narrative with a unique setting and gameplay. It is also reasonably priced so it is great value for money considering the length of the game. Aside from the cons, most of which I can easily overlook, this game is a clear winner in my book.Pros- Stunning visuals, from the decor of the hotel to the simple aesthetic of the puzzle rooms. I wish the Penrose was a real hotel! If it's one thing you'll notice, it's how professionally designed the hotel is.- Captivating storyline that enticed me to continue solving the puzzles even when I came close to giving up.- Fitting musical scores and sound tracks, particularly the main theme with the orchestra.- Puzzle mechanics are easy to learn but get progressively more difficult to master. Overall it provides a balanced difficulty level.- (SPOILER) Replayability element for those interested in discovering the ending they didn't choose (like myself). The puzzles are much faster to progress through the second time around once I mastered the puzzle mechanics. Cons- Communication device is always in the bottom right corner of the screen. I know that it is needed to indicate which colour I currently absorbed, but there must be a better way to implement this instead of having it take up such a large portion of the screen with no option of disabling it.- There are many puzzles in which I had to restart manually from the puase menu because I committed a mistake which traps me in a section with no ability to escape or proceed. This was a bit annoying, especially when I end up reaching the end of a long puzzle only to find myself having to restart because I forgot a minor detail (which happened frequently on my first playthrough). - Not well optimised on lower end systems as there were sections with severe frame drops. The graphics options available are 'best' and 'fast' (which I used), with no room to manually toggle specific graphical settings on or off.- No option to manually save within a puzzle. This became an issue with a handful of puzzles which had individual mini puzzles within them, as dying or quitting the game midway would always bring you back to the beginning of the puzzle. I suggest having a manual save option while keeping the 'restart challenge' option to cover both scenarios.. Pros: - reasonable price for 4-5 hours of gameplay- interesting mechanics which are introduced at a good pace- engaging enough to make you want to play in one sitting- puzzles challenging but not too hard- gameplay almost flawlessCons:- rarely the game will bug out and you have to restart in order to get level transitions to load- walking is rather slow- story wasn't that interesting / good (but it's a puzzle game so who cares)Conclusion:If you like first-person puzzle games you can safely get this and have a fun time. It doesn't reinvent the wheel and doesn't reach the high genre standards games like Portal, Antichamber or The Witness had set. But at this price the puzzles are good enough to make you have a fun time.. An impressive feat in visual storytelling, which sadly gets overshadowed by the voiceover telling you everything the visual storytelling showed you as well, while also outright revealing the solution to what could have otherwise been very satisfying-to-figure-out environmental puzzles, yet the player doesn't really need to solve the environmental puzzles themselves, because the voiceover tells you the solution. The Gameplay is solid and the puzzles are fun to solve without any puzzles being overly difficult. Taking a step back from the puzzle, observing the individual pieces and figuring out the individual steps to victory in your head will give you the key to solving most puzzles in this game, and makes solving the puzzles feel rewarding and satisfying.That said, the puzzles visually look very similar and could have used more visual work done on them like what was done with the final puzzle chapter of the game. I would have also enjoyed the story more if there was less voiceover, since the visual storytelling and symbolism is very strong in the environment without being shoved into the player's face excessively, but I can also understand that less voiceover might have lost a lot of players on the way.All said, its a very solid and good puzzle game that is worth playing, and with a ton of potential upwards that hopefully gets realized by the developer in his future games.P.S. I beat the game in 3:30 hours, but I still feel like I got my money's worth out of this, since I enjoyed my time all the way.. This game is awesome i rate it very high good puzzles some hard some easy just the right mix 4.06 was partically great to solve.This game reminds me of The Turing Test more like this guys a big shout to the game makers.There could be more levels of course using more colour boxs and more turn plates spining the room around.. Lots of the reviews talk about how it mixes narrative and puzzle solving together, but it keeps them almost entirely separate. There are "flashbacks" and small documents you can read in the puzzles to flesh out the playable characters story but they are repetetive and don't add much. There are small collectibles in the hotel sections that give you the backstory but it pieced together out of order over the couurse of the whole game.You walk slowly (really really slowly) around a hotel in the narrative portions to unlock puzzle chambers, the game just tells you where to go and what the codes to open doors are. The narrator babies you the entire way, and if you stray off the main path just to look around, she babies you harder. The voice acting is fine, it's just that the script is not goodOnce youre into the puzzle sections it's just a matter of putting things in the right places, very little thought is needed to get through most rooms. But theres always the chance you'll delete a colour you needed or get trapped with no way back, meaning you have to go into the menu to restart the room. This is just bad puzzle design, you should never be stuck in the middle of a solve. I kept on playing passed the point of boredom because i knew they would introduce new mechanics into the puzzle rooms that i thought might make it more challenging. But even after adding gravity shifting, the puzzles were still just as mundane. Steam has my playtime at 2.9 hours but it felt so so much longer.If youre looking for something to scratch this itch, my reccomendation is The Witness.
